Qualifications & professional development
Ongoing study has been part of Amanda’s practice throughout more than three decades in complementary therapy.
Amanda first qualified in complementary therapy in 1993. Her qualifications and training include massage therapy, aromatherapy, Reiki I and II, crystal healing, Human Bowen and Equine Bowen.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has remained an ongoing part of her practice.
Core training
- Massage Therapy — Clare Maxwell-Hudson School.
- Aromatherapy — Clare Maxwell-Hudson School and International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA).
- Reiki — Reiki I and II.
- Crystal Therapy — practitioner diploma completed in 2002 and advanced diploma in 2009.
- Human Bowen — European School of Bowen Studies (ECBS), qualified 2003 including Anatomy and Physiology.
- Equine Bowen — training with Beth Darrell / European School of Equine Bowen Therapy, qualified 2005.

Earlier Bowen research participation
In April 2011 Amanda participated in a Bowen Therapy Professional Association research project concerning repetitive strain injury (RSI). The original local newspaper advert is retained below as part of the practice history.
